About us

Julie
Very clever, lovely lady who does all the behind-the-scenes magic and makes sure everything runs ticketyboo.  She has both feet firmly on the ground, which is a good balance when her partner has her head in the clouds.  She is a networking busy bee, very good at building up good Papoose relationships, which ensures the shop is always full of yummy goodies.

Claire the elder
Very imaginative and proud of her Papoose Shop interior is Claire the elder.  Born with a colour chart in her hand, Claire is the driving force behind all the Papoose artwork and designs.  An absolute whizz at knocking up shelves or wigwams… and if you love our window displays, you have Claire the elder to thank!

Claire the younger,
There is nothing Claire the younger does not know about running the Papoose shop.  She is the Papoose Fairy, she just waves her wand and the job is done.  She is a very smiley lady for whom nothing is too much trouble. Claire oils the cogs of the Papoose engine, and thanks to her it always runs smoothly.  She is Heaven sent.

Jess
Jess is our computor Wizardess!  Setting up the website has been a magical mystery tour for us all, but with Jess in the driving seat all us technoplebians in the back have had a lovely ride.   Jess is training with Papoose, but with a bit of luck, if the website is successful, we’ll be able to keep her spinning our web for us. 

Granny
Actually mother to Julie but Granny to us all.  She is the Fairy Godmother of Papoose, she is always on hand at any hour of need, (especially loo breaks!) She is the one who keeps the Papoose shop sparkly and spitspot.  Whatever we ask of her our wish is always granted. 

Sue
Sue, mother-in-law to Claire the elder, and the Summer butterfly of the shop.  She appears in Spring, fresh and bright, adding charm and warmth to the Papoose shop when she’s in it.  Come autumn, she flits away to an Alpine winter wonderland and we eagerly wait her return.  

Sue Y, Morv and Josie
In times of need of  an extra pair of hands, we are priviledged to have these very capable Papoose Stars waiting in the wings, and to whom we are very grateful for the calm, easy manner with which they swoop in and save the day.  
Sue Y, mother to Claire the Younger, and just as smiley.
Morv, representing the Scottish Tribe, has supported us from the very beginning.   
Josie, who after greeting all our customers with an enormous bump now has her very own little Papoose, the lovely Isla.
